Ocean Casino Resort Review

The transformation of Atlantic City’s major casino, formerly known as Revel, into the Ocean Resort Casino, has resulted in a remarkable upgrade in every conceivable way. This new addition to the Boardwalk, drawing inspiration from the ocean but guided by a unique vision, seeks to rectify the shortcomings of its predecessor through significant changes in both its physical appearance and service quality.

Spanning an impressive 6.4 million square feet along the Boardwalk, Ocean Resort Casino boasts 138,000 square feet of gaming space, 90,000 square feet of outdoor area, and 1,399 rooms, towering over other structures in Atlantic City. The establishment is designed to be a comprehensive destination, offering a wide range of services to meet all visitor needs. In a recent announcement, June 28 has been set as the grand opening date, aligning with the launch of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, which is slated to take over the Taj Mahal location.

The expansive casino floor at Ocean Resort Casino is designed to cater to every player’s needs, from casual gamers to high rollers. Learning from past mistakes, the casino has embraced a more inclusive approach. A notable architectural change is the replacement of the street-facing wall with a welcoming ‘heaven-like staircase’ and protective glass, symbolizing openness and hospitality.

Ocean Resort Casino’s accommodations offer more than just a place to stay; they provide a unique oceanic experience, as highlighted on their website. Guests can choose from Contemporary King/Queen rooms, Studio suites, or one-bedroom suites. Regardless of the booking method, guests are assured rooms with scenic ocean views.

The dining options at Ocean Resort Casino are diverse, with a special highlight on ‘Cereal Town’, which serves an international array of cereals for all meals. Alongside this unique offering, the resort also provides fine and casual dining options suitable for various occasions.

Beyond gaming, the resort offers a range of entertainment options. Guests can unwind at the spa, work out at the fitness center, or enjoy virtual golf at the 26,000 square feet Top Golf facility. Retail shopping, indoor and outdoor pools, and the Ovation Hall for live performances add to the leisure options. The resort is also known for the HQ2 nightclub, offering exclusive event access and backstage passes.

The Ocean Premier is the resort’s loyalty program, rewarding guests for their casino floor engagement. Starting from basic levels, members can earn points for benefits like free parking, gifts, accommodation upgrades, and lines of credit. Guests are encouraged to obtain the Ocean Premier card to maximize their rewards and experiences at the resort.

During my visit to Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City, I was struck by the meticulous attention to detail across all aspects of the resort. From the wide array of gaming choices to the fine dining options and the lively entertainment scene, every element is designed to create a memorable experience. My observations are based on firsthand experiences at this renowned resort, offering you an authentic and delightful viewpoint for your visit.

Had a nice two-day stay over the weekend to close out the summer. Front desk was friendly and very accommodating as they got us in a great room earlier than expected. Rooms were very clean with plenty of room for activities and great views. Casino floor was nice with a great bar at the center. Food was good but didn’t meet expectations after hearing from others experiences. All that said, I’d definitely recommend it your on the fence.

We came here for a concert in the Ovation Hall. The venue was nice for a concert. I liked that most seats offered a good view. I found it similar to the House Of Blues. Overall the casino is nice and clean.

The one thing I didn’t like was that when we went to play the slots most of them didn’t have dollar amounts on them. You basically have to roam around and click on each machine to what denomination they offered.

The second issue we had was with our players club cards. They told us they put five dollars on each but when we tried to use it there wasn’t anything on them. The line was super long by the time we found out so it wasn’t worth it to go back up. A word of advice, if you plan to eat at the villain and saint on the weekend you should make reservations. It would be helpful if it was mentioned on the website somewhere.

Very nice casino. Little bit of a chore to get around just do to the nice but overall very clean and ended up having a blast.

Rooms: Rooms are nice but you’re paying extra to be able to stay at casino hotel.

Walkability: Nearby lots of the boardwalk easy to get in and out of
